Silk Qualities
Woven silk which is commonly used in sheets for example, is not measured like cotton in threadcount but rather in weight per m2 - a unit called momme. This is logical considering how thin the silk thread is. The larger the weight, the stronger the silk fabric and the better the silk quality. A higher momme indicates more durable sheets and thinner silk fabric with a lower momme is often experienced as more slinky. Keep this in mind when you compare prices.
