F.A.Q. - Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between silk and satin?

Silk is a natural fiber and satin is a weaving technique. Many materials can be woven in satin, but silk satin gives the superior glossiest surface as the silk fiber is much longer, in fact the longest natural fiber in the world! Satin fabric is a dense fabric with a smooth side and a duller side, the weaving technique is mainly used for side fabrics but is also used today with other materials such as polyester and cotton.
