Silk quilts regulate temperature better than all other quilts & transports moisture superiorly. In order for the silkworm to become a butterfly in its cocoon, it needs an effective protection against cold and heat which at the same time lets air and moisture through. This has resulted in a material that breathes and warms at the same time, which gives a blanket that keeps you reasonably warm all night! The silk fiber is smooth and therefore dirt-repellent. The silk wadding is not washed but aired instead. Stains can be treated with silk soap. The silk quilt is a craft with a thousand-year tradition. An excellent, hypoallergenic & natural alternative!
